The phrase "Lipstick on a pig" got some unexpected exposure with Senator Obama using the phrase in his electioneering.
In some ways it is a shame that my book Lipstick on a Pig is still in development as there could have been a bit of exposure out of it. As it happened, the interest blew over pretty quickly anyway. All that I got was a call from a local Wikipedia editor who wanted to know more about the phrase, to prevent the Wikipedia article getting dumped.
My book will end up in a slightly different form from that initially proposed. I guess that’s the way writing goes! I will be using the core content from VICTUS IN AMBITUS as I’ve found out that the proposed format was less well received than the VICTUS IN AMBITUS blog posts.
The core content now has some 60,000 words. Surely there has to be a gem or two contained within that lot?
