In order to understand something we need to dig through the murk of lies, deception & self-interest to get to the root of an issue or situation. Monetary Reformers generally fail to understand the root cause of monetary issues, instead they stop short with monetary solutions when by digging deeper they can find the REAL reason for social injustice. Evil is essentially a spiritual issue – pride. Yes, it manifests in financial aggression by utilising global usury (the immoral and ungodly charging of interest) but it is the idol of democracy that’s at the root. Here I use two online comments from a recently established Facebook Group (Christians Against Usury) to show this failure and why the true Christian world view must go deeper than combating usury, good & true though this is. Enjoy!
Monetary Reformers, in particular those standing against usury are making headway in the Alternative Currency thought-space. Early thought leaders are now being promoted and increasing numbers of people are waking up to the issue of Usury, and how it is central to the woes of the financial world. I like this and support those raising awareness of the evil of usury. In particular, anything in the Christian space that brings a largely ignored subject into focus is VERY welcome in my book.
Usury, the charging of interest, (aka making money off money) is widely condemned by religions across the globe and for good reason. The entire concept of compounding ANYTHING is immoral, unnatural, unsustainable and ungodly. In the financial system usury is the tool by which consolidation of power and wealth occurs. It is therefore incumbent upon genuine truthseekers to understand the root of usury.
A Facebook Group only established a year ago Christians Against Usury has some good commentary from thought leaders in this space, yet does not get past the financial issues. Here are two comments, from longtime anti-usury crusaders. I let them speak, then provide commentary.
Anthony draws attention to the tools of enslavement:
The issue is Plutocracy based on the plunder of the production of the working people and the land. Usury is their core mechanism. Centralized land ownings their secondary one.
These are the issues that must be addressed.
Daniel is commenting here on a group promoting Social Credit under the Universal Basic Income brand (UBI).
Stated again here in a nutshell – without the outlawing interest in moneylending financial oppression and burdensome taxation will remain under direction by the shylocks. The Unitarian Universalist organization must begin at square one. It will not be possible to provide economic liberty to the people by issuing a basic income to all without first ending interest in moneylending. The shylocks will simply raise interest rates when the people have a few dollars more in their accounts. And their beltway puppets will raise taxes as well. Jefferson called the group that directed politics during his days in 1791 as a “bank oligarchy”. If you want to win, you must go at the roots or [of] their power.
My take is that both commenters are correct 100%, until they get to the end analysis where they miss the boat – totally.
Anthony explains as I have for years, like him, that Usury is the primary tool by which enslavement occurs. My short story The Eleventh Man gives an allegory where this is explained. The charging of interest on money created off the backs of the people’s goodwill/credit is not only immoral, but it is the mechanism by which that slavery is achieved. Anthony knows this very well and is right to teach this and show this, but he doesn’t go far enough.
Likewise, Daniel is right on the nail in showing and teaching the identity of the Plutocracy, the “bank oligarchy”. But knowing who the people are and how they use that power over others through usury is not (as they both say) “getting to the root”. The reason is because neither of them have identified the source of the authority that the “shylocks” have to “plunder”.*
God created a world that works under authority. Nothing can occur legitimately without proper authority. If you walk onto public land and attempt to build your house a representative of an Authority will use his authority to evict you. We respect the laws of the land because we respect the Policeman’s authority. Going back to the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve bequeathed their god-given authority to the evil one when they chose to disobey God’s clear instructions. Satan had the authority to outwork evil for many years following and you can see his true nature with the degradation of society until Noah stood for Him, thus giving God the authority to act. It is not that the Lord didn’t care for His people in the horrible years – clearly He did – it is that mankind had given the authority that He gave to them to another and that didn’t change until some people turned back to Him and gave Him the authority to act. The global flood resulted.
This principle, when applied to the teaching of Monetary Reformers gets to the real core – the actual root of evil. Understanding where the “Plutocracy” and “shysters” get the authority they have to affect their selfishness and consolidation of power (yes, using usury for sure) requires us to dig deeper than financial structures and financial activities. It’s all very well to diagnose, conclude and accuse but if you do not deal with the issue of authority, those with it will continue to use it!
We have financial trauma at a global level. Monetary Reformers point to global monetary systems that are clearly unfair, unsustainable and consolidate power & wealth quite nicely. The elite win. The rich get richer. The little people pay, and pay, and pay. Usury/interest is increasingly (and correctly) recognised as the tool by which enslavement is achieved. But as with these commentators above, the digging generally stops there. This is a repeating error.
Let’s build this thing up from the bottom logically then to connect the evil with source of their authority. This is ultra-big-picture stuff.
- Adam & Eve were deceived – all evil is generated and perpetuated from deception;
- Pride is at the root of evil – they wanted to be like God;
- Evil is violent, destructive and results in injustice, pain & more – think of a messed up world resulting post-Fall;
- He gives us freewill (we are not puppets) and He respects our choice to pass the authority He gave us on to evil;
- The Lord deals with evil by allowing it to exist, then to grow to the point where it implodes;
- Evil always does implode when reaching maturity for it is self-destructive by nature;
- Political power is currently achieved in most of the world through various forms of democracy, a concept totally condemned in scripture;
- Worship of democracy is idolatry and in the last century or so has been promoted by vested interests as something worthy of worship. This is the rise of the biblical beast that had been previously killed off;
- Mankind’s trust, belief and essentially worship of self [democracy, power of the people] empowers evil through rebellion – the same as the Garden of Eden failure;
- Put simply, TPTB have perfectly legitimate authority to employ ungodly, enslaving, usurious practices because the people voted them into that very position!
Because God respects that authority He has never and will never intervene. His way is to let the evil have its way until given the authority to act (as in the case of Noah et al) or to let it implode as it bloats until it becomes unsustainable and fails.
I find it interesting and instructional that God promised that He will never send another destruction such as the Noahic flood, yet both Daniel and John in the Book of Revelation describe a political/financial meltdown of epic global proportions. It makes perfect sense to me that in the light of His nature combined with knowledge of how the financial system is so precarious, that the coming implosion will be the self-destruction of evil. In a technical sense, all the Holy Spirit will do is gradually remove His restraining influence and all hell will break loose – literally.
The key to understanding how the worship of democracy is tied in to financial ungodliness of global usury is to learn, know & understand how deception is applied to the political/financial establishments. When the banking fraternity (which essentially includes the bulk of the business community) is seen as a part of the political fraternity, this makes perfect sense. Breaking naive belief that politicians are acting for the people is one of the first lessons of Independent Thought. It’s the elementary school equivalent in Conspiracy Analysis to find, see and understand how politicians deceive who their real masters are – the ones who issue and control our money.
Getting specific then, a vote is a prayer. When we vote in any democratic system, we show evidence that we have placed our faith in mankind and our systems over God’s. Ask yourself who Jesus voted for if you don’t ‘get it’! He is honourable to His word and will not (because He cannot) intervene when we participate in ungodliness. When we gift our god-given authority to man’s systems of government, the authority gifted will be used by the ones we gift it to in the manner of their choosing.
Two questions arise from accepting the above diagnosis . . . ‘What is God’s ideal for the use of the authority He issued us with?’ and ‘How does one use, change to or transition to a godly monetary system?” What indeed is a ‘godly’ monetary system?
Like with all things of God the solution is eminently simple, yet not easy. As I mentioned recently, the task is to hear and obey, one that requires relationship. The Father seeks this – that’s why He gave both His Son and the bible for us, but the Holy Spirit is the teacher. Jesus is the example.
If you are interested in more errors flowing from the Monetary Reformers, nosey-on to my book Mistakes of the Monetary Reformers, where I detail many of the core errors from this sector. It’s not an easy book to understand for it covers material unfamiliar to many but it is easy to read.
Again, thanks for swinging by today. You are welcome to pass comment any time.
* Should anyone wonder if this analysis is based on simply one quote taken out of context, note Daniel’s own words from his book, History of Money and Usury in America: A Usury Fighter’s Manual from a Biblical, Economic and Historical Perspective, when he says:
It is possible to drive the moneychangers out of the temple now; but which monetary system would replace theirs once we remove them? Do we have a clear enough vision which would enable us to institute an alternative system that will work for the common good? Attempts have been made to throw the moneychangers out of the temple several times in American history; but even the best intentions were unobtainable without first considering that usury is at the root of their power; and consequently the struggle has always ended with the private money creators winning.
