Called To

samoa-church

Samoa ChurchAlmost a decade ago, I found myself responding to a call to move out of the mainstream (organised) church. I resisted at first but eventually complied with what I viewed then and now as the leading of the Holy Spirit. I shared the experience online in 2008 in a post “Called Out“.

An online friend challenged me recently to explain what I was called TO, when I was called out. The question has similarities to the question, “What colour is two plus two?” It cannot be answered as there is an incorrect assumption inherent in the question. [Read more...]

The Race to Zero

I’ve had a long-term privately-held desire to reduce my cash-footprint to zero (aka living simply, having no money etc). In this regard I’ve used Trade Exchanges, barter and suchlike extensively over the years.

I will still live well and pay taxes and do business and obey the laws of the land, but I now really want to remove my reliance on and use of the decidedly shaky and rather shady creation of the Central Banking Cartel. My desire has moved from ‘back burner’ to ‘front burner’ since I emmigrated to Samoa (as I’ve lived off capital for three years and spare cash has all but dried up).

Many of us, especially since 2008, are starting to really recognise that there is a big problem with a monetary system that appears destined to fail and that “feeds the few” at the expense of the masses. These are actually two separate issues but they are widely perceived as one problem. This is a fatal mistake. We must separate the SYSTEM from the PURPOSE before we can “get to zero”.

Let’s race into it . . . “zero” is waiting!

Smarter than Barter ~ Better than a Bank!

Club Credits
Smarter than Barter ~ Better than a Bank!

I’ve just completed an intensive study on economics and the nature of money for a business that I established last year (2012).  For Club Samoa we wanted to have a simple, stable, equitable international currency that was not affected by recessions, global market conditions nor subject to the Money Power manipulations that seemed to be the norm.

The end result of this is that the world now has a true “Open Source” currency available – unlimited Lines of Credit, interest free, peer-managed and as pure a currency as you can get. Ownership and management of the currency will be put in the commons on or before March 2016, hopefully sooner. [Read more...]

Jehovahs Witness friendships

I love the JWs. Their relationships don’t last long with me but they are so very friendly to start with.

I was visited by a lovely JW gentleman and his son recently. I am delighted to have yet another Samoan friend. Jehovah’s Witnesses are known the world over for their zeal and often hated. I’ve found them to be so very kind and friendly that it is a delight to have them visit (no I am not kidding).

.nz 2LD Domain Space Consultation

DNC

DNCInternet NZ has been under pressure to release the .nz namespace. Put simply, this means that they are looking to do away with the CO in a .co.nz domain. Oh but they say the existing names will continue to work and be valid!

It therefore means that if the proposal goes ahead, my substantial investment in the domain name dennis.co.nz will be totally devalued; I will need to protect my current online IP by spending more money to secure dennis.nz; and because someone else owns dennis.org.nz, I cannot even register dennis.nz without their permission, approval or cooperation. If we never agree, neither of us will ever be able to use dennis.nz.

Now multiply this by a gazillion domain names and . . . OMG!! [Read more...]

404 – FOR ah . . . FOUR weeks

Yellow = New power pole. Yay!

One 404? That’s an error. A few 404′s and it’s a problem. All historical documents a 404? That’s a disaster. Left that way for weeks? That’s gross incompetence and in online-speak: terminal.

I despair – I really do! Three stories from Paradise have wound me up today . . .

1. A 404 – FOR ah . . . FOUR weeks, and counting!

I used to use Samoa Observer’s website for researching news and information about Samoa. Not anymore it seems. Every link in Google search comes up with a 404 – Page not found. It has been like that for weeks now since they installed their new system – ouch! This sends a very simple clear message to Google – GNA i.e We have gone with no forwarding address. [Read more...]
